Assignment 2 and assignment 3

It feels good to wrap up the animation assignment. I struggled a fair amount with dealing with the tween and making the mistake of not drawing as an object and not being able to tween the lines. I had done quite a lot of work on it previous to finding my error so I decided to just frame by frame the animation. This results in a more choppy and less fluid animation. I am also pleased about adding music to the animation with some Eric B and Rakim "Paid in Full". The button's script worked for one but not for the others so I'll figure that out tonight. -Daniel

Buttons

Last week I enjoyed creating abstract buttons. It was interesting learning how the tween works as the animation assignment I did frame by frame without the usefulness of the tween. I spent a big chunk of time in between classes on Wednesday of last week working on the buttons as I missed Thursday to see the final Blazer game of the season :/. I need some help with the script for the action to make the button activate the animation. I probably just made a little error that messed it up.

Animation

The Animation assignment presented various difficulties. I began by painting and forgot to make the paintings objects so when I tried to tween them it was choppy and didn't work. I decided to do frame by frame which was quite grueling and turned out not to be as interesting as I think tween could have been. I spent a lot of time on the detail and stylistic qualities of each branch of the tree. Overall I feel it was a good learning experience. -Daniel

Flash

I enjoyed very much so learning how to use the program Flash. I have always wanted to play around with animation and have a real respect for contemporary cartoon and animation artists. It was interesting figuring out the process of making frames cooperate together to produce a full minute of animation. I enjoyed manipulating the text for instance making a plane fly across the window. As well as making it snow over my text. -Daniel
